BRF Ingredients Participates in Biggest Segment Fair

Research and Development Team of the business unit that belongs to BRF, participates in three lectures at Fi South America (FISA), the only event in the region focused on food ingredients.

Research and Development Specialists at BRF Ingredients, the BRF business unit responsible for providing Food Ingredients and Health and Wellness solutions, are part of the Fi South America lecture schedule, the region’s only event focused on food ingredients, which takes place in São Paulo, between August 20 and 22. On the occasion, the functionalities of soy proteins in foods, the application of bioactive peptides by industry and the nutraceutical use of chondroitin sulfate allied to human food will be presented.

In addition to the lectures, BRF will have a stand with 73.5m² to present its products and solutions to visitors. Highlights will be the natural flavors, soy proteins, vegetable oils and fats, breading flour and chondroitin sulfate. Last year, the fair received about 9,000 professionals from 45 countries. Thus, the event is considered by the company as a great opportunity to strengthen the relationship with the public and seek new customers.

Thaís Andrade, Sr. R&D Engineer, explains how bioactive peptides are defined as specific sequences of amino acids with low molecular weight and specific biological activity in the body.

Day 22 - Nutraceutical Use of Chondroitin Sulfate Allied to Human Food

Alejandro Chiocconi, BOSS R&D consultant for BRF ingredients, will discuss how sodium chondroitin sulfate is a natural substance in cartilage that makes up and protects the joints of humans, mammals and birds (bristles, cows and chickens).
