Don’t miss Dr. Yuri C. Feynberg’s book at the Frankfurt Book Fair.

“The Child of Gulag” (Legaia Books USA) by Dr. Yuri C. Feynberg will be showcased among thousands of noteworthy titles at the upcoming 2019 Frankfurt International Book Fair on October 16-20, 2019 at the Frankfurt Trade Fair grounds in Frankfurt am Main, Germany.

Otherwise known as the Frankfurter Buchmesse, the Frankfurt Book Fair is the world’s largest book trade fair, based on both publishing companies represented and number of visitors. It is also the world’s largest trading place for rights and licenses.

The first three days of the book fair are restricted exclusively to international deals and trading, and the last two days is then open to the public. In 2018, the Frankfurter Buchmesse drew close to 286,000 visitors from more than 150 countries, as well as over 7,500 exhibitors from 109 countries and around 10,000 journalists and bloggers.

Dr. Feynberg’s book, “The Child of Gulag,” will be exhibited by ReadersMagnet at the Frankfurt Book Fair.

The creative historical memoir fiction takes inspiration from the life of the author, who is one of the last surviving children of the Gulag forced labor camp system in the Soviet Union. Dr. Feynberg was not one of the prisoners but he spent his childhood in a remote labor camp in Siberia, where his mother worked as a doctor.

As the only child in the labor camp, the author lived among Joseph Stalin’s political prisoners, hardcore criminals, and prison guards. Being witness to the harsh conditions behind barbed wires, he developed an unusual personality and an unbearable character that helped him excel in the Soviet Special Forces, endure political persecution, and overcome personal tragedies without losing his humanity. Dr. Feynberg has been a political refugee since 1979.

Dr. Yuri C. Feynberg’s “The Child of Gulag” has been well received by Amazon customers and Goodreads users. The book is available on Amazon and Barnes & Noble.

About the Author

Dr. Yuri C. Feynberg was born in St. Petersburg, Russia. He’s now currently living in Fort Lee, New Jersey, with his wife and only daughter. As one of the last surviving children of the Soviet Penal System in the devastatingly traumatic time of Post-World War II, Yuri has dedicated his life in helping the most vulnerable and people that had lost hope. Most of his careers focused on children with developmental disabilities. As soon as he graduated with a MA in Special Education and Speech Pathology at St. Petersburg Pedagogical University in 1970, he worked as a special education teacher and speech therapist in residential school for students with developmental disabilities, where he later became the principal. He earned his Doctoral Degree in Public Administration in the United States; and in 1991, started Life Adjustment Center for developmentally disabled.
