New DTG Ink Released for Epson Printer Heads

On January 16, 2019, Digital Ink Sciences announced the release of a new ink formulation made for DTG printers such as the DTG PRO. The new ink formulation (DIS-150) is designed for the DX7 and DX5 printer heads. DIS-150 has mid-viscosity.

The DIS-150 is a time and money saver thanks to its low maintenance. This new formulation ink runs for a longer time than prior ink sets since it requires very few flushes and head cleanings. The ink set is a blessing to t-shirt printers as it allows more printing than other ink sets, producing more t-shirts and consequently more money.

The “perfect drop,” a digital ink science slang, is also a big plus for this new formulation ink set. The perfect drop, according to the company, means that more ink is directly injected on a t-shirt and lesser ink is lost out to the surrounding. The perfect drop simply reduces wastefulness and over-sprays on internal components.

DIS-150 can also be used for heat press and tunnel dryers used for curing.
