SuperSizeWorld(TM) Launches New Online Store Dedicated to Products for Larger People

Internet Store Focuses on Size Acceptance. Hundreds of Products for People, “Living Large.” Showroom Store Planned for Later in 2005.
VANCOUVER, WA -- 05/04/2005 -- A new online store, www.SuperSizeWorld.com™, has opened to supply products tailored to meet the needs of larger individuals. “Everybody knows that the U.S. population keeps getting bigger,” notes Tim Barry of SuperSizeWorld. “Every day we see more articles and news stories about it. Unfortunately, the majority of attention is focused on weight loss. While losing weight is a great goal, the success rate of most diets is dismal. In the meantime, larger people are often forced to make do with products that are just too small or flimsy. At SuperSizeWorld.com we focus on size acceptance with products that make life easier, safer and more comfortable for these larger individuals.”

Larger Lifestyle Products But No Clothes

The new store offers many unique, hard to find products, some of which are available only at SuperSizeWorld. Major product categories include high capacity scales, travel accessories, housewares, bathroom products, sports and outdoors products, clothes care accessories, health and wellness products and others. Plus sized clothes, which are generally available elsewhere, are not offered at this time.

“We located many larger sized products from name brand and specialty manufacturers then brought them together in one store,” continues Barry. “And in some cases we have had products built to our own specifications. For example, our MegaBand™ watch bands come in sizes up to XXXXL, the world’s longest watch bands. We intend to keep adding more products until we have the largest collection of larger lifestyle products available anywhere.”

Retail Store Planned

In addition to the online store, there are plans to open a SuperSizeWorld showroom store in the Portland, Oregon / Vancouver, Washington area. “We will be opening one of the first specialty stores dedicated to lifestyle support for larger people,” adds Barry. “Sort of backwards from the old days when businesses with physical stores branched out onto the Internet.” The SuperSizeWorld showroom store is scheduled to open later in 2005.
