HBIS & IMR Signing Strategic Cooperation Agreement

HBIS and Institute of Metal Research(IMR) launched a new chapter of cooperation by signing a strategic cooperation agreement. The partners will firmly implement the country’s innovation driven development strategy. Taking full advantages of resource and market of HBIS and IRM research and education capabilities, they will build a highly efficient steel technological R&D and application platform to connect academic research and industrial applications. HBIS CCP & Group Chairman Yu Yong, IRM President Zuo Liang attended the event and witnessed the signature.  

HBIS Vice President Wang Xindong and IMR Vice President Liu Gang signed the agreement.

In the meeting before the signature, Yu Yong met Zuo Liang and the agreed to deepen their cooperation. Yu Yong said HBIS had both strategic and actual reasons to choose IMR as a partner. This partnership is a new chapter of cooperation. He hopes that the parties could make more success in their coordinated development.

Zuo Liang said IMR had a very good record of cooperation. The agreement is a new starting point of cooperation. With its capabilities in science material, IMR will contribute more to the development of HBIS. 

In the agreement, the parties will enhance the high quality development of the country’s steel industry and build a market oriented platform. They extend the value chain of steel industry and develop new steel material, metal corrosion and anti-corrosion technologies and industrial services. They will build a long term and coordinated innovation mechanism to promote mutually beneficial cooperation. They will efficiently connect R&D of steel industry and applications of new technologies. Projects will be implemented, talents will be recruited to resolve key problems in the reform and upgrade of HBIS. The parties will look closely at the key national and industrial projects and seek breakthrough in the front line of steel industry.
