St. George, UT, USA – WEBWIRE

“Besides singing in their church services, the Langstons often performed in hospitals for sick children and in retirement homes. They loved to blend their voices in songs of praise to their Heavenly Father, and they also loved to sing the old classics”.

Fans from the United Arab Emirates (UAE) should rejoice as author Doreen Hatton visits the emirate of Sharjah to endorse her novel “Then Sings My Soul.” Released by Christian Faith Publishing, Hatton’s novel is a touching story of loss, grief, and forgiveness.

“Then Sings My Soul” follows the Langstons wherein Samuel is instantly killed by the car driven by Aaron Turner, a fifteen-year-old boy. Lily Langston and her family are strong believers in forgiveness, so they convince the court to give Aaron probation and community service instead of detention. However, Rose Langston cannot forgive Aaron and is furious about the boy not going to jail or paying for her father’s death.

Nonetheless, the Langstons are a very musically inclined family. They regularly perform at church and community functions. Imminently, Lily discovered that Aaron also sings and plays the guitar. The story furthers into a discovery of joy in forgiveness and healing through the power of music. It presents a gripping, realistic portrait of heartache and healing in the process which, in cases of tragedy, often truly begins at the moment of forgiveness.
