A Collection of Time Travel Stories by John Plumb Will Be on Exhibit at the Miami Book Fair 2019

Avid readers of time travel fiction will delight in John Plumb’s independently published short story collection “Time Can’t Hold Me: Time Travel Stories.” They can check out this book at the Miami Book Fair 2019 Street Fair on November 22-24, 2019 at Miami Dade College (Wolfson Campus) in Downtown Miami.
 
The Miami Book Fair, founded in 1984 as “Books by the Bay,” aims to promote reading; encourage the writing craft, and; and spread the awareness of literacy and the literary arts in Miami’s multi-ethnic community. Aside from the weekend Street Fair, the book fair, which will run from Nov. 17-24, will include author talks, book signings, panel discussions, musical performances, and other activities.

The collection contains three enthralling short stories that should bring readers to think of the consequences of time travel. “‘Time Can’t Hold Me’ contains three stories that center around disasters of time travel,” said the author. “The central characters are average people who invent extraordinary objects that allow people to see into the future, slow time down, and the last has a house that can move through time.”
 
“Twenty Twenty” is about a handcrafted pair of glasses that bends light and allows the person wearing it to see twenty minutes into the future; the main character of the story, John Paul Bates, experiences his life becoming chaotic when wearing the glasses. “Motion Without Time” tackles the reality of time slowing way down and tells the story of Mickey Manco who discovers a different reality when trying to fix his washing machine. “The House of Time” tells about a house that mysteriously appears and disappears every ten years from a field in Charleston, South Carolina and is run by a secret society.

John Henry Plumb has won an award for his excellent fiction. He has traveled around the country by motorcycle for two years living in a tent before settling down again. However, John has always been a biker. He made his first motorcycle when he was eleven years old. Since then he spent nine years in the Navy and was a goldsmith for many years. Having been born in Ohio, he now lives in Florida.
