As a mission-driven, community-minded organization with a highly-engaged and diverse workforce, Kaiser Permanente has long been thought of as a great place to work by its IT employees.

But it’s always nice when someone else notices.

For the 10th consecutive year, Kaiser Permanente has been recognized as a Best Place to Work in IT by Computerworld magazine. The honor is awarded to organizations that demonstrate excellence in benefits, diversity, career development, training, and retention. The results are also based on feedback from IT employees who responded to a confidential Computerworld survey.

“It’s especially rewarding to know that this recognition is the direct result of responses from our employees,” said Dick Daniels, executive vice president and chief information officer. “We have a meaningful mission at Kaiser Permanente and I’m proud of the culture and work environment that our people have created.”

The employee survey was largely focused on employee morale and company culture. The winning organizations were identified as having successfully built a strong company culture where employees feel appreciated and are given the tools to progress in their careers.
