Quote: An extraordinary fantasy tale awaits readers at the Miami Book Fair 2019!

Collette Jackson-Fink added her own contribution to the fantasy genre with “Daughters of Twilight” (Outskirts Press; 2013). The novel was published to good reviews and will be exhibited alongside thousands of other books at the Miami Book Fair 2019 Street Fair on November 22-24, 2019 at Miami Dade College (Wolfson Campus) in Downtown Miami.

Founded in 1984 as “Books by the Bay,” the Miami Book Fair is the largest and most important literary festival in the U.S. The book fair aims to promote reading, encourage writing, and heighten an awareness of literacy and the literary arts in Miami’s multi-ethnic community. In 2018, the Miami Book Fair drew an estimated 200,000 visitors and hosted 500+ authors and 200+ exhibitors.

Jackson-Fink’s fantasy novel “Daughters of Twilight” and its sequel, “Sons of Twilight” (published in 2017), will be displayed by ReadersMagnet at the Miami Book Fair.

“Daughters of Twilight” casts a different light on the origins of angels, which according to the novel, come out from under the ground through the Black Tower, a mysterious pyramid-like structure that emerges from the ground after an earthquake in the Midwestern city of Waterloo, Iowa. Soldiers, as well as scientists, are soon deployed to the site to investigate what they tout as the most incredible archaeological find in history.

Dane Coles, a member of the special tactics team, meets Asia, a beautiful yet deadly “angel” who has been cursed and cast down into oblivion within a place called the Garden of Even. A romance blooms between a soldier who is sent to restore peace and order in Waterloo and an “angel” who is perceived as a threat.

But amid their potential love story, certainty still engulfs Waterloo and a few dubious characters plan to exploit the Black Tower for their sinister ends.

Will war break out between humans and angels? Read all about it in Collette Jackson-Fink’s “Daughters of Twilight.”
