Christie’s announces the summer season encompassing an outstanding selection of contemporary art, prints, and photographs with a range of styles and price points offered in three online-only sales. Works will be on view at 20 Rockefeller Plaza beginning 11 July.

Christie’s July Contemporary Edition features over 140 striking prints and multiples from the world’s leading post-war artists including Frank Stella, Andy Warhol and Wayne Thiebaud as well as important contemporary artists such as Jonas Wood and Nina Chanel Abney. With estimates starting under $1,000, the sale includes works for incipient and seasoned collectors alike.

FIRST OPEN | POST-WAR & CONTEMPORARY ART | 9 July – 17 July

Bringing together paintings, works on paper, photographs, and sculpture, the July First Open provides an exciting opportunity for new collectors in pursuit of works by the finest emerging and established artists in the post-war and contemporary category. The online-only sale includes Ed Ruscha’s seminal The End #8 and is bolstered by bold young artists. Additional highlights include Robert Motherwell’s Red Wall Sketch and George Ricky’s geometric sculpture Seven Rotors Five Cylinders.

The 34 works in this online-only sale uncover the inimitable character of New York City during and directly following WWII. Estimates range from $3,000 to $8,000 and include a number of photographs by Louis Faurer and Helen Levitt. Also featured in the auction are works by Berenice Abbott, Diane Arbus, William Klein, and Weegee — all artists who tended towards bold, arresting views of New York’s iconic sights and frenetic energy around the mid-20th century.
