What is about we males? Aren’t the world’s anxieties enough?

Richard publishes a new book titled “Tales of Our Times,” which contains several quick-to-read stories with varying themes.

The first story is about a couple relishing their moment while having their dinner at a famed restaurant. Their story was briefly laid out on a first-person narrative but deftly vivid to the readers’ imagination.

The second story continues with the perspective of a homeless man, struggling to survive the day. With nothing in his pocket to buy for food, he desperately holds out a sign, hoping somebody would notice his predicament. But nobody even dared notice him. So, he decided to take a nap for a bit. But then he seemed to be dreaming and saw a light at the end of a long, black corridor. He heard a singing voice and departed to eternal life, knowing that he would never be hungry again.

The next story is the mundane of all typical chores – waiting in line at the check-out counters of a grocery store. The scene describes of a funny reality that humans thrive in such a setting which includes news headlines that are sometimes harsh but fascinating, an obese woman up ahead the queue who is listening to a very loud music on her earphones, a man behind the character, whose mouth is agape at the picture of a new actress sprawling nude among the roses and a woman behind that man, shocked in disbelief upon reading featured stories at the rack of magazines.

Those are some of the entertaining stories one can find in Richard’s book. Find out more of the stories as Richard Burns showcases his talents at the Miami Book Fair. The event will be held at the Miami Dade College Wolfson on November 17-24, 2019.

“Tales of Our Times” is now available on Amazon and Barnes & Noble.
