Poetry book by Alvina Y. Platt-Gregory on display at the Miami Book Fair 2019

Alvina Y. Platt-Gregory, a health and physical education teacher, published a book of faith-filled inspiration poems, titled “Poetic Parables: Listen with Your Heart.” This poetry book will be displayed alongside thousands of other books at the Miami Book Fair 2019 Street Fair on November 22-24, 2019 at Miami Dade College (Wolfson Campus) in Downtown Miami.
 
The Miami Book Fair was found in 1984 and is originally known as “Books by the Bay.” As the most important book festival in the U.S., the book fair aims to promote reading, encourage writing, and heighten an awareness of literacy and the literary arts in the city’s multi-ethnic community. In 2018, the Miami Book Fair attracted an estimated number of 200,000 visitors, plus 500+ authors and 200+ exhibitors.
 
Platt-Gregory’s book, “Poetic Parables,” will be exhibited by ReadersMagnet at the Miami Book Fair 2019.

Alvina Y. Platt-Gregory is a health and physical education teacher. She has been teaching for 23 years. She earned her Master’s degree in Education from Grand Canyon University in 2012. She earned a diploma in Biblical Studies from Living Faith Bible Training Center in 2005. Alvina is a mother of three successful sons and a grandmother of two, a boy and a girl. She is a custom clothier designer and her business motto is “Dressing the Spirit in You.” The presence of the Holy Spirit is visible in her life. Jesus would teach in parable and she felt lead to name her book “Poetic Parables” because it is filled with poems that share what God can do if you seek His wisdom and let Him have his way. Jesus has the answer to every situation.
