Grand Rapids, Ohio, USA – WEBWIRE

A farm-to-space adventure that will take readers out of this world

“The Helium Table” (PRGott Books Publishing; 2010), written by E. Dorinda Shelley and illustrated by Eleanor Hutton, is the first book in the series about the barnyard animals that find themselves in hard-to-believe situations involving floating objects. Prior to the pandemonium that came with the hatching of the ghost babies (read The Helium Egg), an adventure into space occured.

Kath and her mother clean off a dining room table that has been covered for years by her parents’ heavy medical books that hold the table down. It is a helium table that could float away like a balloon, Kath’s father tells them. Not believing him, they remove all the books from the table, which then floats its way out through the door.

The farm animals jump onto the helium table to bring it back to the ground, but to no avail. The table floats further upwards and the animals are carried away into space.

Will the animals make it back to the farm safe and sound – and with the helium table? Find out in E. Dorinda Shelley’s “The Helium Table.” Order a copy or two today through Amazon.

Watch for the public display of “The Helium Table,” along with “The Helium Egg” (second book) and “Helium Heels” (third book), at the upcoming 2019 American Association of School Librarians (AASL) National Conference & Exhibition on November 14-16, 2019 in Louisville, KY.
