Zijerveld acquires W. Bakker Kaashandel B.V.

Cheese wholesaler Zijerveld, part of FrieslandCampina Dairy Essentials, takes over W. Bakker Kaashandel B.V. The company is specialised in cutting and packaging cheese. The activities will be integrated into Zijerveld. With this acquisition FrieslandCampina fulfils its commitment to serving customers, anywhere and anytime.

This requires flexibility and excellent logistics services. The cutting and packaging activities of W. Bakker Kaashandel B.V. fit in with our ambition to serve our customers even better.”

1. Bakker Kaashandel is established in Bodegraven (NL) and was founded in 1928. The about 80 employees have been informed about the takeover.

Zijerveld serves both national and international retail, out-of-home, on-line, wholesale businesses and industrial clients. The product range includes North–Holland cheese, farmhouse cheese, goat’s cheese and foreign cheese.

The acquisition amount will not be disclosed.
