Spring Exam Period Begins Next Week for Industrial Hygiene Professionals Seeking CIH® Certification

The spring exam window for approved candidates working towards the Certified Industrial Hygienist® (CIH®) credential begins on April 1st.

Industrial hygienists who missed the February 1st deadline to become eligible for the spring exam window have another opportunity this year to pursue the CIH® credential by applying to take the exam during the fall window.

The spring exam window for industrial hygiene professionals looking to take their careers to the next level begins next week on April 1st. The CIH® exam is administered by the American Board of Industrial Hygiene® (ABIH®) and approved candidates have until the last day of May to take the exam.
 
ABIH® offers two exam windows each year: April-May and October-November. Applicants who have been approved to take the exam and have paid their exam fee can schedule to take the CIH® exam anytime within those timeframes. Those taking the exam will encounter questions that cover an individual’s knowledge and skills across the broad general practice of industrial hygiene. Subject areas include:

ABIH® has contracted with Prometric to provide exam locations throughout the United States, Canada, and in many other countries across the globe. Candidates for the exam will need their identification number listed in the Authorization to Test Letter that they received to obtain their examination appointment. Prometric offers two ways to schedule the examination, online at www.prometric.com/abih, and by phone at (800) 800-1123.
