Follow John who is a detective and his partner trying to solve a crazy murder case! When there are no leads the detective finally gives in to thinking outside the box and uses a psychic profiler Anezka. There are so many twists and turns in the plot, will they be able to solve the case together? The murderer makes things even more interesting because he has in his own mind justified what he is doing! Kyle Robertson did a fantastic job building the characters without getting too detailed. This thriller had me hooked right away and it will do the same for you.”

“An ambitious, smart detective takes on a genius serial killer. The serial killer, Marvin, reminded me a lot of Jigsaw from the “Saw” movies. Like Jigsaw, Marvin put his captors in a small room (basement in this case), and gives them an ultimatum. Jigsaw liked to disturbed people and test how much they wanted to live by giving them next to impossible tasks. Marvin, however, thinks everyone in the western civilization is impure and needs to be vindicated. He gives them a choice of two negatives, where they have to sacrifice either their own life or the life of someone they care about. John, the detective, makes up for Marvin’s smarts by working 24/7, not allowing the clever Marvin to win by drinking on his free time. John is old fashioned, but when he realizes Marvin may never get caught, he buries his beliefs and gives a psychic a chance, who has a background of catching bad guys. I like how the writer knew how to catch you offguard on what was going to happen to the poor victims locked away in the basement and what choices they would make. If you love a good mix of detective stories mixed with thrillers, then you should give this book a chance!”

Kyle was in sales for 21 years. He spanned from a telemarketer to a product trainer. His product knowledge was vast. It spanned from replacement windows to home maintenance equipment, with automobiles, and many electronics thrown in. He could tell you the difference between a varactor, and decent tuner, and even what they were. He went into military Intelligence when he graduated from high school and had to know all NATO, and Warsaw Pact vehicles. He had many stories from the military, and many he made up.
