New Fantasy Book Relives the Magic in the Land of Oz

A story inspired by The Wizard of Oz takes its characters to another level of adventure

Laureldale, Pennsylvania – WEBWIRE

The Land of Oz is once again in trouble. And two new youngsters are about to save it from its demise. Inspired by L. Frank Baum’s “The Wizard of Oz,” The State of Oz is Christopher Schmehl’s view of what the Land of Oz would be at present time, introducing new characters, places, and adventures.

The book introduces new protagonists, two boy scouts from Pennsylvania named Jon and Ben. They entered the World of Oz by accident and were subsequently introduced to Ozma, the queen of Oz. She took them on a quick tour around the fairyland, riding the Gump but unfortunately ran into a daring chase, which involved enchantments, a magic mirror, the memory lane, and the gnome king.

As the story progresses the readers are taken beyond the world of Oz they already knew. “I attempt to catch readers up on some of Oz’s history by having them discover it as my main protagonists Jon and Ben do,” Schmehl says.

As the new visitors figure out how to defeat the evil forces and return back home, Tin Man, Scarecrow, Cowardly Lion, and Dorothy are there to assist them on their daring adventure.
