American Express’ Global Commercial Services Business Welcomes Antonio Gagliardi to Executive Leadership Team

American Express announced that Antonio Gagliardi has joined the executive leadership team of the company’s Global Commercial Services business. He will serve as Vice President of Strategy, M&A and Alliances and will help evolve and execute a three-year strategic plan for the company’s commercial payments business.

He has an impressive track record in financial innovation, strategy and operations.”

Mr. Gagliardi joins American Express from CompareEuropeGroup, where he served as co-founder and Managing Director since its founding in 2015. CompareEuropeGroup is a fast growing financial-comparison platform headquartered in the UK and active in several European markets. The company was named one of the 50 most innovative Fintech companies globally by KPMG and H2 Ventures. In this role, Mr. Gagliardi had oversight over the larger strategy, partnership, marketing, technology, as well as business operations of the firm.

Prior to CompareEuropeGroup, Mr. Gagliardi spent much of his career with McKinsey & Company, first in Milan and then in London, where he was an Associate Partner in the Financial Services practice.

Mr. Gagliardi currently resides in London with his family. He holds a bachelor’s degree from Universita Commerciale L.Bocconi in Milan and received an MBA from Harvard Business School.
