Rochester Testing Laboratory Offers Mold, IAQ and Industrial Hygiene Sampling Workshop This April

EMSL Analytical, Inc. is hosting a Mold, Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) and Industrial Hygiene (IH) Sampling Workshop on Wednesday, April 10^th in Rochester, New York. EMSL invites industry professionals involved in IAQ issues to join our leading experts in a full-day of learning. Registration will begin at 8:30 AM followed by the training, which will run from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

The beginning half of the workshop will consist of an introduction to fungal ecology, sampling for mold through direct examination, viable samples and PCR, report interpretation, indoor allergen sampling, and Legionella. Many indoor air quality concerns related to mold and moisture can have an impact on people’s health. This workshop will benefit environmental consultants, home inspectors, cleaning and maintenance professionals, restoration professionals, property managers, facility managers, industrial hygienists, and building owners.

Following lunch provided by EMSL, the afternoon session will include topics related to investigative equipment, the introduction to industrial hygiene, planning strategies and equipment selection, sampling with sorbent tubes, passive badges, respirable dust (cyclone sampling and PPI’s), TO-15 and NADCA, PCB and, asbestos sampling.
