DynCorp International Awarded Veteran Friendly Employer of the Year

DynCorp International (DI) has been recognized as Veteran Friendly Employer of the Year by Workforce Solutions for Tarrant County, Texas.

“I am proud to accept this award on behalf of DynCorp International,” said Greg Burden, military outreach manager. “DI’s legacy of supporting and appreciating veteran employees is integral to our company culture and values, and it’s a privilege for this support to be recognized.”

DI’s recruiting arm, Worldwide Recruiting and Staffing Services (WRSS), hired 1,746 veterans in 2018 for DynCorp International. DI currently employs 4,297 veterans, which is 66 percent of the entire company. At the Alliance Texas office in Fort Worth, there are 287 veterans, which is 53 percent of the local office.

WRSS’s Greg Burden and Elaine Kinnee attended the 2019 Workforce Solutions for Tarrant County Annual Awards Celebration and Joint Board Meeting in Fort Worth to accept the award. Other award categories included Small Employer of the Year, Adult Education and Literacy Employer Award, Industry Sector Outreach Award, Community College Engagement Award and the Unsung Hero Award for community support.

“I am very proud of the partnership that Greg and Elaine have developed with Workforce Solutions, and the phenomenal job that Greg has done with our military outreach program,” said Fred Littleton, recruiting director.

“Tarrant County’s workforce development team works hard to help provide local employment opportunities,” said Elaine Kinnee, recruiting operations. “It’s an honor to be recognized as a leader in providing those employment opportunities to our veterans.”
