Memoir Recounts Man’s Journey From Homosexuality to Heterosexuality

Ordinarily, a person can choose who he wants to be and what he wants to do with his life. But what if the choice pertains to his sexual orientation? In David Robinson’s memoir, “Orientation and Choice: One Man’s Sexual Journey,” he takes his readers back to the time when he felt sexual arousal towards boys, how he dated girls, and why he decided to be heterosexual.

From ages 14 to 16, Robinson felt sexually aroused looking at boys, especially muscular, athletic boys. However, he chose to date girls and, as an adult, ended up happily marrying a woman. He tells how he did it. His book is a memoir, not a guide. He is not a therapist, so his book is not “conversion therapy.” People should decide for themselves what they can learn from his experience.

David Robinson is a lawyer. He lives in Connecticut with his wife. He practiced law for 31 years in Massachusetts and now practices in Connecticut. He earned his juris doctor degree at Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri.
