Sarahah, Makers of Popular Private Feedback App, Launch New Service to Make Workplaces Safer

The Enoff Project aims to help organizations create a safe and positive working environment by providing a platform for confidential workplace feedback

San Francisco, CA – WEBWIRE

Workplaces everywhere will now be safer with the today’s announced release of Enoff in Apple’s App Store. Developed by the makers of popular private feedback app Sarahah, the new enterprise app and website provides a platform for employees and employers to engage in confidential dialogue to foster safe and positive work environments.

The #MeToo movement has made it abundantly clear that workplace harassment has been, and continues to be, a pandemic issue. In the US alone, 5 million people experience sexual harassment at work every year, yet 99.8 percent never file a sexual harassment charge. On top of the shocking sexual harassment statistics, gender and racial discrimination continue to persist in workplaces even as employers struggle to understand the costs associated with harassment. Despite the prevalence of these problems, only a minority choose to confront their employers with the problem for fear of punitive or retaliatory employer responses.

In light of this, the Sarahah team has created a new service that aims to help employees safely and freely speak out about sensitive workplace issues without needing to disclose their identity. These can include but are not limited to workplace safety, harassment, discrimination, theft and embezzlement, and even employee relations.

“Our mission has always been to create a service to help people,” said Zain al-Alabdin Tawfiq, founder and CEO of Sarahah. “The first app we built aimed to help people feel comfortable sharing honest and constructive feedback. Now, by launching Enoff online and on the App Store, we’re hoping to create a safe digital space for the enterprise context to help tackle a global issue by making it easier for employees to talk about a myriad of workplace issues safely and confidentially.”

To use Enoff, organizations create an account - verified by the Enoff team - and invite members to provide feedback via the platform. Individuals register and - once invited - privately message the organization with feedback, concerns and complaints. Organizations then respond via the platform while the employee’s identity remains protected.

In addition to the release of Enoff, the Sarahah team is currently working on a new version of the Sarahah app. Following the app’s release and meteoric rise to the top of the charts, the team is now focused on implementing strategic technological updates to combat cyberbullying.
