“The Helium Table” by children’s author E. Dorinda Shelley will be displayed at the Bologna Children’s Book Fair

The first book in The Helium Book series, “The Helium Table” by E. Dorinda Shelley, will soon be displayed at the 56th Bologna Children’s Book Fair. The event, which is the leading professional fair for children’s content in the world, will be held on April 1-4, 2019 in Bologna, Italy.
 
In “The Helium Table,” Kath’s mother cleans off an old dining room table, covered for five years by junk mail, newspapers, and medical books. But, the dining table floats away like a balloon, just as Kath’s father predicted, since it is a helium table.

About the Author
 
Dr. Shelley is a retired dermatologist. She grew up in Missouri, spending weekends on a farm with friendly horses. She, her husband, and three children lived for many years on a “farmette” in NW Ohio, surrounded by many of the animals in this story. This is the first in a series of books she has written and Eleanor Hutton has illustrated.
