As a Child Development Specialist, Krickett Jones Halpern believes in the power and importance of channeling the creativity and imagination of young minds to make way for learning and interaction as they grow. Her career lets her use creative arts as an intervention to aid in their development especially in expression, coping skills, and confidence. This time, she channels that technique through her storytelling prowess.

“Bounce Back Like a Ball” follows a short and inspiring story of a young girl who wonderfully builds her resilience through learning different coping strategies, how to take turns, and most of all, experience real compassion and happiness for other kids. After learning these valuable lessons, she puts them into practice by encouraging and guiding a friend to do the same. Together, they also learn the value of patience in the classroom and with their peers.

Indeed, this book packs a lot of lessons for every young reader to discover, learn, and keep. Soon, Jones Halpern’s “Bounce Back Like a Ball,” will join the exciting 2019 Los Angeles Times Festival of Books on April 13-14, 2019.
