InteGreat Introduces ASP Offering of Its EMR Solution

WEBWIRE

SCOTTSDALE, AZ -- 11/15/2004 -- InteGreat, a leading provider of electronic medical record (EMR) systems with the highest adoption rate, today introduced an application service provider (ASP) offering of IC-Chart® that enables small and medium sized physician practices to take advantage of InteGreat’s world-class electronic medical record (EMR) solution.

“We know that resource allocation -- money and time -- has been the biggest hurdle for smaller group practices that want the convenience and enhanced productivity that electronic medical records offer,” explains David Koeller, president of InteGreat. “Our new ASP offering overcomes both problems by offering all the benefits of an EMR without the high upfront costs or the need to retain an IT expert. IC-Chart is now affordable to physicians across the board.”

Under the ASP option, InteGreat will host and manage the software and technology infrastructure for a fixed, predictable monthly fee, and provide ongoing technical staffing and operational support. Additional benefits of InteGreat’s ASP EMR solution include:

-- Cost savings without forfeiting functionality on administration, support, maintenance, upgrades and deployment.
-- Safe, reliable data access from any location.
-- Reduced upfront payment with no expensive equipment purchases.
-- Predictable monthly processing fees.
-- Rapid, easy implementation.
-- Automatic system maintenance and upgrades.
-- Improved security.
-- Real-time, 24X7 back-up.
-- Complete disaster recovery.

Forrester Research Inc., a Cambridge, Mass. market research firm, predicts that by next year, EMR sales to small practices (projected to be $622 million in 2005) for the first time will be larger than sales to larger practices ($585 million in 2005).

Traditionally, InteGreat, which was recently recognized by AC Group as one of the top health and medical records applications vendors, focused on meeting the needs of large physician practices and turned away small and medium sized group practices seeking the sophisticated EMR technology that IC-Chart offers. According to Koeller, “We feel that offering our ASP option is well timed because there is tremendous interest in EMRs among small and medium sized physician practices. We expect that these groups will comprise a large percentage of our future business.”

InteGreat’s data center and disaster recovery center is based in Scottsdale, Ariz.
