About the Author
Philip Emma is a Doctor in Electrical Engineering. He is also a Fellow of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers. When he was young, he worked as a sous-chef in a number of restaurants and he also experienced working in coffee and espresso machine businesses. Dr. Philip is currently working as an Expert Witness for patent litigation and he is a well-known columnist on the topic of claims and patents. He recently retired from IBM TJ Watson Research Center in Yorktown Heights, NY as Chief Scientist. He has written over 300 articles and holds over 200 patents. He also has written parts of four books on technology.
