Handover of Pemex Completed

In compliance with all the requirements established by law and the corporate bylaws of the company, on Monday, December 3rd the handover of Petroleos Mexicanos was completed.

At the ceremony, which was performed at the Executive Tower, engineer Octavio Romero Oropeza and his predecessor, Carlos Treviño went over the top priorities for the corporation, like strengthening its strategy and making its processes more efficient in order to increase its benefits for all Mexican citizens.

Engineer Octavio Romero confirmed that the instructions of the President of Mexico, Andrés Manuel López Obrador, are to turn Petroleos Mexicanos into a robust pillar that achieves the country’s goal of energy self-sufficiency as well as to become a source of greater resources and act as a vehicle for social justice.

The President of Mexico appointed  Octavio Romero Oropeza as the new Pemex CEO, a position that Oropeza assumed on December 1st. 2018.​
