Advancing Orthoregeneration Through Networks, Education and Research

The ON FOUNDATION sets quality standards, spreads unbiased knowledge about orthoregeneration and links young professionals, experts and academic organizations all over the world. Together we build a strong network and guarantee innovation.

Lucerne, Lucerne, Switzerland – WEBWIRE

“The biggest leap in Orthopedics in the next 10 years will hopefully come from harnessing the benefits of orthobiologics for regenerative purposes and disease modification,” says ON Foundation President, Dr. Brian Cole.

ON, the orthoregeneration network is an independent, internationally active foundation in the field of orthopedic tissue regeneration. A global network, education support, and innovative research are the three pillars we base our activities on. The ultimate goal is to improve the well-being of the patient through regenerative therapies. Find out more on how you can benefit here.

Together we are stronger—therefore ON has established partnerships with major medical societies (e.g. ICRS, AANA, AOSSM, ORS, EUROSPINE) to advance orthoregeneration. ON provides education grants and scholarships to young clinicians and researchers to attend educational meetings held by ON partner societies. Furthermore, we award prizes for outstanding publications or posters in the field of orthoregeneration. For highly motivated and talented young researchers, we also offer travel fellowships to visit selected research centers that are leading in regenerative medicine.

“There are so many open questions in orthoregeneration, let’s start answering some,” Prof. Myron Spector, Honorary Member of the Board

The ON Foundation directly contributes to innovation through a research granting program consisting of different levels reaching from kick-starter to break-through grants. The grants allow us to financially support research that answers important open questions, contributes to evidence, improves clinical therapy, and that investigates innovative approaches in the field of orthopedic tissue regeneration.

All our programs offered are featured on the myON community platform which handles applications and reviews easily, digitally, and thereby efficiently for everybody involved.

The ON Foundation was founded in the spring of 2018. The board consists of eight renowned experts who guarantee the high-quality standards of all the ON Foundation content and activities. In addition, they ensure the independent decision making necessary to serve the community. Geistlich Pharma, a major founding donor, is a well-respected player in orthopedic regeneration based in Lucerne, Switzerland. The company has a long tradition in philanthropy; it regards it as the natural “other side of the business coin.” Dr. Kay Horsch, Executive Director, comes from a scientific background and has over ten years’ experience in running an independent, successful philanthropic institution.
