Hazen Meek and Linda Pierson Meek collaborate on book

Hazen Meek endured three strokes, a heart attack, quadruple bypass surgery, and prostate cancer for decades until his death in 2013. Through all those times, Linda Pierson Meek stood by her ailing husband, for her love is powerful than any health problem. It proved a marriage can withstand the most severe trials in life.
 
Knowing that he had little time left, Hazen began writing about his life and experience, particularly his marriage to Linda and his struggles with health problems. After he passed away, a family friend compiled his writings and Linda’s thoughts into a book, “Giving Up Is Not an Option: One Man’s Struggle to Make the Impossible Possible,” which was first published the year after his death. Linda’s prologue complements her late husband’s story, thus completing the book, a memoir he did not live to see published.
