Heartwise Ministries Introduces Worship/Health App

Worship is an intervention to improve health.

Chattanooga, TN, USA – WEBWIRE

On December 7 and 8, 2018, Heartwise Ministries will be releasing the new worship app, Biblical Prescriptions. The app will be available in the App store as well as on Android devices. “Worship and health are intimately related. The new app is designed to improve health through worship,” states James Marcum M.D., speaker/director of Heartwise Ministries.

To kick-off this important event and increase awareness, Michael Card will be in concert on December 7 at Concord Baptist Church and Denver and The Mile High Orchestra will follow on December 8 at City Church. Both events will be in Chattanooga. Heartwise wants to give a gift of worship on these two nights and then offer the app for a continuing worship experience.

“This app has the ability for everyone to easily participate in health changing worship, anywhere at anytime,” states John Wagoner, app technical consultant. The daily ten-minute worship includes a worship warm up, prayer, a text, reflection, and prayer of praise and thanksgiving. “Once the brain is engaged in worship, physiology changes,” states Dr. Marcum.

“Many people worldwide are using mobile devices as their source of information and communication. We are hoping this worship/health app will be an innovative tool to engage others in Biblical worship while improving health,” comments Nick Evenson, production manager at Heartwise Ministries.
