FUJIFILM Medical Systems U.S.A., Inc., a leading provider of endoscopic imaging solutions, has entered into a partnership with Intalere for Fujifilm’s comprehensive endoscopic product portfolio. Intalere is a professional supply chain company and one of the nation’s leading healthcare solutions organizations that help members lower costs, enhance revenue and improve quality of care.

The contract, which commenced on October 1 and is in effect through September 30, 2021, was awarded through the “Innovation and New Technology” bidding process and indicates that Fujifilm’s endoscopy solutions demonstrate unique capabilities as compared to competitive products on the market. Fujifilm’s contract preferred pricing for over 105,000 Intalere members includes 3,789 acute care hospitals as well as 3,773 ambulatory service centers—a niche with a particularly high utilization of endoscopic technologies.

“Fujifilm is very enthusiastic about this new partnership with Intalere. We view it as a vote of confidence and further validation of our innovative endoscopic technologies,” said Johann Fernando, Ph.D., Chief Operating Officer of FUJIFIM Medical Systems U.S.A., Inc. “It is gratifying to know that thanks to Intalere’s large membership base, Fujiflm’s next-generation, lifesaving endoscopy systems will be made available to more healthcare providers than ever before at an affordable price point.”

Fujifilm’s entire endoscopic product portfolio will be represented under the Intalere agreement:

ELUXEO Endoscopic Visualization System : ELUXEO, comprised of Fujifilm’s 7000 Video Imaging System and 700 Series Endoscopes, features 4-LED Multi-Light Technology, which creates Blue Light Imaging (BLI) and Linked Color Imaging (LCI®) special light observation modes. The 7000 Video Imaging System has an extended lamp life expectancy of up to six years and an intuitive user interface for an enhanced experience. The 700 Series Endoscopes feature a host of advancements in comfort, efficiency, and visualization. This platform offers improved image quality in terms of sharpness and brightness. It also delivers optimal visual information for diagnostic and therapeutic procedures in daily clinical practice.

Endoscopic Submucosal Dissection (ESD) : These devices are designed for use with compatible endoscopes to aid clinicians in performing effective ESD interventions within the digestive tract. ClutchCutter® is a rotatable forceps, FlushKnife a versatile and efficient diathermic slitter, and ST Hood Short Type is intended to maintain field of view during endoscopic procedures such as mucosal resection.

Pulmonary Imaging : Fujifilm’s standard, Slim, Treatment, and Super-Image Video
Bronchoscopes are designed to be lightweight, easy to maneuver, and bring superior imaging and resolution to the field of bronchoscopy. The 530 Series Bronchoscopes are equipped with ultra-small, Super CCD chip technology, dual light guides, improved tip layout and a single-use suction button.

Endoscopic Ultrasound: Fujifilm’s ultrasonic video endoscopes and bronchoscopes, coupled with the Sonart SU-1 ultrasonic processor, provide visualization of surrounding structures, allowing clinicians to see beyond the pathway and support diagnosis and determine treatment plans.

Double Balloon Endoscopy System (DBE): Engineered to unlock difficult to reach pathways within the digestive tract, Fujifilm’s DBE consists of specifically designed enteroscopes, overtubes, balloons, and a balloon-pump controller. It also requires a Fujifilm video processor and light source for clear, sharp, high-definition images with advanced imaging technology.

Fujifilm’s endoscopy solutions expand the company’s offerings at Intalere alongside its digital radiography and point-of-care ultrasound portfolios.
