Author delivers an “eye-opener” with “Baby Face”

“The abortion issue has been a controversy for over 40 years.  Powerful forces are at play for good and ill.  And, of course, money and power are present as well. So it occurred to me, suppose a weak and poor couple, minority group members at that, were expecting a baby and couldn’t afford a hospital?  If the infant were to die in child birth, would that be a legal violation?”

This is the searing question that inspired the author to write this timeless story, a story that will introduce Lloyd Rosen, a lawyer assigned to handle the case of a couple stuck in a roller coaster ride of legalities and moral obligation in building a family. An issue that is close to Rosen’s heart, as he too, go through the process of building a stable family for his wife Becky, and the child in her womb that they are looking forward to.

Rosen will take readers into a journey that will test his capabilities as a lawyer, a husband, and a soon-to-be father in the mess they called “bureaucracy.”

This story aims to address the author’s continuing interest and concern in the social issues of abortion and healthcare.

About the author

Don Clark France is a retired educator. He majored in History and English in Huntingdon College and earned his master’s degree in elementary education and educational administration and supervision from Auburn University, both in Montgomery, Alabama. Through his writing career, France have authored several titles, the latest of which is “A Woman of Vision” published in 2016.

In addition to writing, France’s interests includes water activities such as boating, sailing, and swimming. He now spends most of his time travelling with his wife Jeanne.
