Described as an engrossing read, the author portray the first kitten as someone that snorts every time he snarls, the other kitten poots every time he hisses, thus the name SnarlNSnoots and HissNPoots. As the story progresses, their predicament put their army application in jeopardy since it disrupt the function of the squad they are in. But despite the discomfort, the two find solace in each other the moment they meet. They are delighted to know that they are not alone, that there is always one or two that they can relate to. They become friends even if the world rejects them because of their problems.
