Londina Cruz, has been awarded the 2018 Leave A Legacy Award from the Non-Profit Youth Mission Outreach program in Poughkeepsie New York. On Saturday November 10th the Youth Mission Outreach hosted its annual Gala to recognize those in the community who have volunteered to impact youth in positive ways. She also was recognized with an official proclamation from Dutchess County Executive Marcus Molinaro applauding her commitment to community involvement.

Londina Cruz was recognized for inspiring hundreds of local Dutchess county youth last month by sharing her dramatic story of recovery after being hit by a drunk driver resulting in a broken back, neck and traumatic head injury. With doctors giving her little hope of a normal life she was able to turn this challenge into an extraordinary life of empowering others to turn their fears into freedom and reach their potential.

A Hudson Valley resident for more than thirty years Londina has spent the last two decades coaching and consulting in personal mastery and human performance techniques. It is these techniques she brought to hundreds of local youths during the free Global Youth Initiative in conjunction with the John Maxwell Team. “When a teen girl raises her hand and shares how you’ve changed her perspective, or you see a room full of young people embracing a new idea it fills you with hope and encouragement for the next generation,” Londina shared or her experience.

Youth Mission Outreach has a goal is to inspire change in the youth of the Hudson Valley community and over the last 23 years the Youth Mission Outreach has helped thousands of local kids and teens be do and have more. This endeavor would not be possible without people like Londina Cruz which is why she was selected to receive the 2018 Leave A Legacy award at the Youth Mission Outreach Gala on Saturday.

Londina is already looking forward to bringing more of these free and open to the community events during the next Global Youth Initiative in April. “I have a goal to bring these principles and strategies to three thousand local youths and absolutely love having this kind of impact right here in our community and around the world,” she shared.
