About the Author
Cheryl K. Hawkins grew up in New Orleans and served as an elementary teacher for more than 25 years after she got a Master’s Degree in Education from the University of New Orleans in 1992. She graduated from Oral Roberts University in 1982 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Telecommunications. She has spent 45 years of her life in New Orleans, during her stay, she participated in various church activities and ministry outreaches as she gave her heart to Jesus at the age of 16.

Hurricane Katrina paved the way to another chapter of her life as they moved to Atlanta. She is currently a member of the East/West Church located in the greater Atlanta area.
