Book by Carnella W. Jarmon teaches children what pure love is

What better way to teach today’s children what love is than publish a lovely children’s book? Carnella W. Jarmon did just that with “Pure Love” (Xlibris; 2018).
 
Written for children ages 4-7, “Pure Love” is told in the perspective of Javaris, a little boy who feels warm and cozy inside whenever he experiences unconditional love. During Sunday school, he learns about the pure love of Jesus.
 
The author’s love for writing, plus her background in education, led her to pen a book for children about love. She was also inspired by her concern about the lack of the expression of pure love by humans for each other. She believes that children should be taught early in life about pure love and the joy of experiencing it.
 
“Pure Love” aims to teach children the meaning of pure love, how good and beautiful it is, and how powerful and helpful it is in all situations, good or bad. Though targeted towards small children, the illustrated book also reaches out to adults to remind them about pure love and, above all, God’s commandment to love one another.

About the Author
 
Carnella Whatley Jarmon grew up in Opelika, Alabama but has been a resident of Birmingham, Alabama for 40+ years. She worked in the Birmingham Public School System for 35 years as a classroom teacher, resource assistant, parent educator, and coordinator of various programs. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education from Tuskegee University and Miles College, a Master of Education degree plus an Education Specialist degree from Alabama State University. Carnella enjoys her morning walks, writing, solving number fill-ins puzzles and spending time with her family. She has been married to Luther for 46 years. They have one daughter, one son, one-son-law, one grandson, and two godsons.
