Musical promenade at the Acropolis Museum in collaboration with the Athens State Orchestra

On Wednesday 31 October 2018, the Acropolis Museum will host the dynamic and experienced music ensemble Athens String Quartet of the Athens State Orchestra for a chamber music concert in the Parthenon Gallery. The Acropolis Museum will be the first stop of the Athens State Orchestra’s tour in museums on the occasion of its Chamber Music Concerts program entitled ‘Musical promenades at the Museums’.

On this day, visitors will be able to stroll through the Parthenon Gallery from 5.30 p.m. onwards, where Archaeologist-Hosts will be available to the public, and at 6:00 p.m. they can follow the music concert.

The Athens String Quartet will join forces with the distinguished clarinetist Spyros Mourikis to perform works by classical music’s “Holy Trinity”: Bach, Beethoven and Brahms.

 For visitor access to the music concert at the Parthenon Gallery, free entrance tickets will be available at the Museum’s Ticket Desk from 5:15 p.m. onwards.

 With free entrance tickets, visitors will be able to stroll through the Parthenon Gallery from 5:30 p.m. until Museum’s closing time (8 p.m.).
