Los Angeles, CA – WEBWIRE

The Path of the Butterfly is an inspiring and entertaining story revolving around growth, courage and determination. One that’s easy for kids to understand!
This book is a combination of fantasy, facts, and fun audience participation. The story is based on a true event that happened in a Kindergarten at an elementary school in Vacaville, CA. One that does not look like what was expected.  It is a wildly exciting concept and one young mind will remember.
“No matter how small you might be, you can still be a winner.”
Dalene Sovine was born in 1943. She is currently living in Vacaville. She began volunteering at the Alamo Elementary School library in 2008. One day, kindergarten teacher Val Gardner shared an incident that happened while teaching a unit about the hatching of a caterpillar into a butterfly. After hearing the story, it inspired Sovine to write the story. Encouraged by her teacher, he thought maybe she could teach kids the lesson brought by the butterfly and hopes this story would not only inspire but bring about hope.
“The book that teaches children the growth and the survival of the butterfly.”
In a scary and uncertain world, children coming out alone from their homes can be kind of scary especially for the parents. These young, little and innocent ones could be intimidated by the world around them. Thus, this story uses the metamorphosis of the butterfly to show that uncertain and scary the world may be - it also is full of endless possibilities!
“May you always spread your wings and fly unafraid.”
