Adele Good’s “The Holly Clan Adventures,” More Than A Feel Good Children’s Book

Salisbury , MD – WEBWIRE

What will happen if the young fairies are the only ones left in their clan after their parents die? Will they survive long enough to see themselves become the adults?

Adele Good’s The Holly Clan Adventures is a children’s book that talks about the symbiotic relationship between fairies and animals in the forest – like how one survives with the help of the other and how they help each other to survive together in times of great loss and struggle.

A clan of fairies living in the forest loses all their parents and only have young ones left. The oldest is twelve years old and now in charge of the clan. She gets the other young fairies that can fly, bringing in food and water to the fairies that are too young to fly. Another clan moves in with them because they lost all their daisies, and they all move deeper into the forest. The other clan loses their parents, so more young ones. Tigers help guard them from humans in the area. The Grand Fairy makes a surprise visit and has a surprise for Diana, the leader. Diana gets poisoned then gets hurt but keeps doing what she can when is down. A storm comes and does damage to Grand Fairy’s home, so he goes home and comes back with his clan or the rest of it.

Another storm and it floods the area around the hill they live on. Then the animals need the fairies help in delivering their babies, which is part of the fairies’ job. Bears eat poison berry and have problems, and the fairies do what they can.

This is a story about the bravery of the young fairies and their adventures after they lost their parents. A story about one’s courage to step up to the need of times – at a young age of twelve. This is a good read for all the kids out there as the book will take them to a journey full of twists, turns, surprises, ups and downs and a lot more!

Aside from the adventures brought by the book, it also imparts great lessons for our young readers. These are lessons learned by the fairies themselves and all the other animals they’ve encountered while they are on their quest for survival. And while the story focuses on the fairies – one of the many lessons that Adele Good wants to share in this book is that— we need each other to survive.
