Steven Andrew Janda Reveals Numeric Parallels Between the Bible and MLB

What has the Bible got to do with baseball and vice versa? Both hold the key to “a mystery that has been hidden by God since the foundation of the world.”

Kent, WA, USA – WEBWIRE

What has been hidden among the numbers in the Bible is astonishing beyond measure.

A committed follower of Jesus Christ and ardent baseball fan Steven Andrew Janda published “The Emerald Home Run” (SBPRA; 2011). Eye-opening, thought-provoking, and faith-awakening – these are the words that best describe the Renton, WA resident’s work for it is a book like no other.

For one, “The Emerald Home Run” unveils the mystery of the perfection of God in the most unlikely of places: Major League Baseball (MLB). In this book, the author imparts what he discovered to be astonishing parallels between biblical numbers and baseball (home run) statistics, which, in doing so, establishes a spiritual connection between the Bible and baseball… between faith and sports.

God comes alive in “The Emerald Home Run,” which explains numerical mysteries hidden in baseball as easily as hidden in Hollywood movies. The author provides a stunning example: baseball legend Ken Griffey’s 613th career home run, which is famously referred to as the “emerald home run”, is also actually his 400th home run as a Mariner. With the number ‘400’ in his mind, the author cannot help but think of Moses leading the Israelites out of Egypt – after 400 years of slavery in that land.

That revelation is just a tip of the iceberg as Griffey’s 613th career home run reveals more – and is just one of the many astounding revelations and astonishing parallels that the author shares in his book. There is indeed more for everyone who will read “The Emerald Home Run.”

The book attests that God can and will use anything to communicate with His people and watches over and blesses those things which glorify Him, just as He used the burning bush to speak to Moses. For the author, God used baseball “to orchestrate His sign to show that the Bible is the Word of God with the intent to warn all at the end of the age of the return of Christ as a thief in the night.”

The author’s discoveries point toward the fact that God lets the world see how He performs perfect prophetic calculations and then reveals the calculations at the end of the world and shocks the world with His great love and mercy for all to behold. It is the love of God revealed through Jesus Christ, His only begotten Son.
