The committed Christian publishes a thought-provoking, faith-awakening book to challenge readers to rethink their eternal salvation.

Cobourg, ON, USA – WEBWIRE

This book emphasizes a certain truth: that the teachings and truths on eternal salvation are only found in the Word of God.

How much does a Christian know about the doctrine of eternal salvation? And how much should he or she know about it? How sure can a Christian be about his or her own eternal hope? Is his or her understanding of salvation based on biblical teachings or on the imaginations of men?
Christian author Russell A. Young tackles such questions in his book ‘Eternal Salvation “I’m Okay! You’re Okay!” Really?: A Biblical Revelation for Christian Discipleship’ (WestBow Press; 2016). His work, a product of painstaking years of careful research and spiritual reflection, will drive readers, believers and non-believers alike, to reflect on their own salvation, i.e., determine his or her own place in “Gods’ plan to draw humankind once more into an eternal relationship with himself.”
Through “Eternal Salvation,” the author, who is a restless seeker of biblical truth, carefully examines the issues of eternal salvation from a biblical perspective in order to clear up many assumptions and presumptions that have infiltrated modern teaching on the assurance of eternal security. He observed that man-made teachings have replaced the truths of God’s Word. The author took strenuous effort to present as clearly as possible the teachings on eternal salvation as revealed in the Word of God.
“It is time to carefully re-examine biblical revelation in order to satisfy the heart that a person is truly ‘okay’ when it comes to eternal salvation,” said the author who relied, not on his own understanding, but the Holy Spirit and the Word in completing this momentous work.
With “Eternal Salvation,” the author hopes to reawaken the spirit of discipleship in his intended readers and exhort them to examine his or her own worthiness for eternal salvation. The purpose of this work, after all, is to challenge readers in their understanding and provide them with evidences that are consistent with the Scriptures.

About the Author
Russell A. Young is retired from teaching and counselling. His commitment to Christ was made fifty years ago and in the course of time he has served in many church ministries from youth work, teaching adults, to counselling and pulpit ministry. He has also served extensively with the Youth for Christ organization, locally and nationally. Upon retirement, he has extensively examined numerous “truths” about which he had become conflicted, seeking to discern and share the truths of the Scriptures. His studies have been confined to a careful examination of God’s Word, enveloped in prayer and meditation, and with a sincere effort to avoid preconceived prejudices. This writing is the result of his journey to discern Biblical truth concerning eternal salvation first for himself and then for others. He lives in a small community, Cobourg, Ontario, Canada, which is nestled along Lake Ontario. He is married to his wife Tracey, with six children, and six grandchildren.
