Dimension Data powers utility supply giant’s operations with total security management

 Dimension Data, a USD 8 billion global technology integrator and managed services provider, has been appointed as Integrated Managed Security Solutions provider by one of Asia’s largest utility company, to further the company’s business operations in Hong Kong and its subsidiaries in Asia Pacific.

The company was seeking an experienced technology partner to help them develop an overall cybersecurity strategy for its regional operations. Today’s increasingly hostile cyber environment prompted the company to look at how it can bolster its defence capabilities to mitigate risks and future-proof their technology environment.

Dimension Data was selected on the back of a tender process which included multiple portal demonstrations to showcase its domain expertise and solutions robustness. Under the agreement, Dimension Data will be responsible for the provision of a total security solution system, consisting of products, services and consultancy services, to ensure business-readiness and reliability of their systems.

This spans integration, testing and management of security solutions and over 100 devices, including next-generation firewall, Advanced Threat Protection solutions, servers and SIEM tools to ensure real-time, threat intelligence-driven protection from emerging forms of cyber-attacks. The solutions are flexible and easily scalable, aimed to support the client’s ambitious future growth plans.
