“A book such as ‘33 Short Stories in a Nutshell’ is like having a friendly companion which distracts us from chores or the dwelling on more mundane callings.”

Society is comprised of such different people—people with personalities and principles you may or may not agree with. Carlos V. Cornejo shows the readers these differences in a fascinating way in his book, 33 Short Stories in a Nutshell.

The characters he created embody our real-life observations of the people around us. They have the same unfavorable traits (such as prejudice, ingratitude, and entitlement), and positive ones (such as love, hope, and understanding) as the people that we usually come across with. The situations are also set in ways, which are not unfamiliar to us, making each story more relatable. These stories resonate most to those who are inclined to discover different aspects of human behavior.

Cornejo composed these stories from his interaction with different types of individuals for almost a century. Through this book, he intends to amuse his audiences and relieve them from the entrapments of customary activities to enjoy the real pleasures of life. As he likes to put it in his words, “A book such as ‘33 Short Stories in a Nutshell’ is like having a friendly companion which distracts us from chores or the dwelling on more mundane callings.”
