Breakthrough Telehealth and Medicine Today Health Innovation Journal Launches on Open Source Platform

Partners in Digital Health has relaunched the Telehealth and Medicine Today (TMT) journal on the Open Journal System (OJS) platform. “Since TMT’s last issue, we have taken the journal to an open source platform adding features reflecting TMT’s leading-edge reputation in the sector. We continue to push the envelope in scholarly publishing with our mission in a market that now accepts telehealth and medicine as the path to a re-imagined health system, stated Ms. Tory Cenaj, President of Partners in Digital Health. The editorial premise of TMT was breakthrough. Since then, many have jumped aboard claiming the same mission. We blazed the trail.”
 
The journal has added the following to its profile:

• TMT is now available on the Alexa Flash Briefing. Listeners can enable the feature on their Alexa App
• Partnered with ARTiFACTS, a blockchain-based research repository that also provides proof of existence (PoE) for authors and subscribers
• Partnered with Code Ocean , a cloud-based computational reproducibility platform. Authors can include data and code with manuscript submissions for peer review and published articles
• ORCID membership – this feature distinguishes author contributions using a unique identifier
• Publons membership - ensures peer reviewers can track and verify editorial contributions to academic journals
• Work groups – there is one already underway, in collaboration with ARTiFACTS, which investigates the integration of blockchain technology into the scholarly publishing workflow. Initial observations and insights will be presented at the TMT October 2018 Converg2Xcelerate conference
• Membership to CrossRef, Similarity check, Crossmark, and Portico
• CME program under development exploring “Current technology in U.S. Healthcare… to determine where blockchain may potentially fit”

 
In the near future, the journal plans to introduce a ground breaking blockchain based initiative.
