IOC Executive Board meeting in Lausanne - 18 to 20 July 2018 - information for the media

The International Olympic Committee (IOC) Executive Board (EB) will meet at the Lausanne Palace Hotel from 18 to 20 July 2018.

The EB is scheduled to receive reports from the Organising Committees of the upcoming Olympic Games and various IOC commissions, as well as updates on the activities of the IOC administration.

Media representatives who will not be in Lausanne will have the possibility of watching the press conferences live on Periscope and YouTube. Please regularly check @iocmedia, where we will send updates on timings.

Media accreditation:

Accreditations will be processed online. Media representatives wishing to cover the meetings are requested to register on the IOC website by Wednesday 11 July.

If you have already registered for previous meetings, please access your profile using your email address, and tick the box for the July 2018 Executive Board meeting. For journalists who have not yet registered, please follow the instructions provided. Should you have any issues when registering, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Accreditation cards will be distributed at the Lausanne Palace as of 8 a.m. on 18 July.

Media facilities:

A media working room will be set up at the Lausanne Palace and will be equipped with free wireless internet access.  Media catering will be provided to cover lunches and coffee breaks.

Accommodation:

Media representatives are requested to make their own arrangements.

Esports Forum:

Following the Olympic Summit declaration in October 2017, the IOC and the Global Association of International Sports Federations (GAISF) will host an “Esports Forum” on 21 July at The Olympic Museum in Lausanne.

The aim of the Forum is to explore synergies, build joint understanding and set a platform for future engagement between the esports and gaming industries and the Olympic Movement.

Media representatives wishing to cover the Forum are requested to register on the IOC website by Friday 6 July. Click here to access the media accreditation system.

There will be the possibility of watching some of the Esports Forum sessions live on the IOC Media YouTube Channel.

There will be restricted access for media to the Esport Forum session room. However, media representatives will be able to follow the majority of sessions live in the media working room.
