The Challenges of a Military Marriage from a Military Spouse’s Point of View

Author Viranda Slappy’s sequel to her "Till Death Do Us Part” book brings to fore the nitty-gritty of military marriage.  “Vision of Change” is based on the true experiences of military spouses throughout the armed forces network. The sequel delves into the challenges of a military marriage. It follows the couple’s journey among the military community, adjusting to change as they begin their transitional lifestyle as retirees.

Author Slappy skillfully addresses the struggles of raising teenagers, substance abuse problem, infidelity, and financial problems.  She used a combination of research, her own experiences, and the experiences of others who contacted her after she wrote her first book.

“I wanted to share my experience as a military spouse throughout the military during our era living in the military communities.  Many military families feel that they need to appear to be perfect families.  That is not realistic.  No person is perfect.  If no person is perfect, then no marriage can be perfect,” shares Slappy.

Slappy’s books were featured at the biggest book events in North America, BookExpo America and BookCon 2018 on May 31-Jun 3, 2018 at The Jacob K. Javits Convention Center in New York City.
