“Hair-Brained Humor: Humorous Stories from the Barbershop,” for Anyone Having a Bad Hair Day and Wanting to Have a Good Laugh

Portland, OR – WEBWIRE

Some people walk into a barbershop for the haircut. Some just walk into a barbershop and walk out smiling - not because of the hair cut. Seriously, it’s not the hair cut.

Robert Wayne Hayworth’s debut novel, “Hair-Brained Humor: Humorous Stories from the Barbershop” is for anyone who has ever walked into a barbershop wanting to have a haircut and more. Or, this could just be for anyone who wants the more. A haircut itself can be boring. This is a book about the “more.”

The book is a collection of sayings and stories as a result of a mischievous barber meeting fun-loving customers. This is not your typical joke book but an accumulation of humorous things the author or his fellow barbers have heard or experienced as they practiced barbering. You see, barbers are one of the few people that follow orders and they can touch you - coz heck yeah, that’s their business. They invade your personal space which often leads to special friendships.

Everything in the book is said in good humor without an intention to be unkind or insensitive. You can expect some hyperbole and exaggeration to tell the story as to how the author felt about it or how he wants us to feel about it.

Drawing from his 53 years of barbering - yes, that’s right fifty three years of constant jesting, bantering and goofing around - the author wanted to pass along a good supply of stories, jokes and sayings to anyone who has ever gone to a barber shop and never got the chance to hear any of these. Or if any of these sound familiar - nothing beats a good laugh from something silly you just remembered from way back.

So sit back, relax and enjoy your haircut, or you can just sit back and have a good laugh.

About the Author

Wayne Hayworth has been entertaining customers for 53 years. He has ghost written other books but this is the first book that openly carries his name as author. He began his education at what is now Multnomah University; he received B.A. and Masters Degree from Christian International Graduate School, Florida and served in Christian ministry for many years encouraging countless individuals. Because part of barbering is human relations, Wayne hoped that this book will make a positive contribution to the profession of barbering. He is a lover of people and it took him a while to learn not to take himself seriously. For him, it seems the harder life gets, the more the humor kicks in.
