Fujifilm Exhibits Pulmonary Products and Hosts Educational Forum at World Congress for Bronchology and Interventional Pulmonology

This year’s World Congress is being held at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota June 13-16, 2018. During the conference Fujifilm will host an educational forum with a focus on Endobronchial Ultrasound (EBUS) TBNA and peripheral lung imaging, and will support a hands-on EBUS skills lab workshop. New this year, the company will bring its new Radial Probe EBUS System (PB2020-M), available for demo in booth #4.

Fujifilm is hosting an educational forum titled “Advancements in Endobronchial Ultrasound TBNA and Peripheral Lung Imaging.” The forum will be moderated by Lonny Yarmus, D.O., Clinical Chief, Division of Pulmonary and Critical Care, John Hopkins Hospital and Associate Professor of Medicine, Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. EBUS Skill Lab
Fujifilm will support an accredited Endobronchial Ultrasound Bronchoscopy skills lab workshop Thursday, June 14, 2018 from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. The company will provide an EBUS tower of equipment for use in this four-hour hands-on course, which is designed to lay the foundations for mediastinal lymph node assessment and sampling using low and high fidelity simulation, imaging matching, and slide preparation. The workshop is hosted by the Mayo Clinic School of Continuous Professional Development and will take place in the Stabile Building of the Mayo Clinic Campus.
 
New Innovations
Fujifilm is bringing new technology to this year’s World Congress. The company’s recently 510k cleared Radial Probe EBUS System is designed to provide real-time ultrasound imaging of targeted peripheral lung lesions prior to biopsy. The PB2020-M is a radial ultrasonic transducer that is inserted through the instrument channel of a bronchoscope, localizing the exact position of the lesion.
