Fighting boredom and boldly going on an adventure can have wonderful rewards

Fran Rathmann comes up with a refreshing twist to Christmas stories through the eyes and mind of an adorable curly lamb named Curly. The stories about Christmas most people usually know about are told from the viewpoint of humans, such as the magi and the shepherds. Her book titled “The Bored Lamb: And the Brightest Star” is an endearing children’s book that brings to life the perspective of how animals came to witness the most significant event anyone could ever witness: the nativity of Jesus.

Fran Rathmann brings a delightful blend of giving a significant story that has a character with child-like attributes, such as searching for adventure, easy boredom, and itching for excitement in the form of a cute and cuddly lamb named Curly. Christmas stories are timeless and important stories that every little child should know. Today’s children may seem to be more inclined to technology and gadgets but “The Bored Lamb” could catch the fancy of any child by having the character reflect a typical child’s attributes. The story will never be boring as Curly himself will guide the young readers to the most important adventure they will embark on: the quest to find the birthplace of Jesus.

“The Bored Lamb: And the Brightest Star” brings children a whole bunch of excitement, fun, and important lessons. Teaching children important life lessons need not be all serious. Children’s books like “The Bored Lamb” are good avenues to impart good lessons that children will learn from, like constructively coping with boredom, having the determination to change monotony, and appreciating significant events in one’s life.

This gem of a children’s book will be a good addition to the early Christmas shopping list of parents. The upcoming 2018 Frankfurt International Book Fair on October 10-14, 2018 in Frankfurt, Germany will be a great and exciting event to find this book.
