New Milton and Highcliffe now ultrafast broadband ready

Virgin Media announces its ultrafast broadband and entertainment boost is now available to up to 2,400 homes and businesses in New Milton and Highcliffe, near Christchurch.
 
Virgin Media has now opened up its ultrafast broadband network to residents and businesses in New Milton and Highcliffe, offering speeds of up to 350Mbps. This transforms the quality of broadband in the area where the average (median) download speed was just 23.5Mbps*.
 
With a 350Mbps connection, files, films and games become unbelievably quick to stream, download and upload:
 

•     Download a standard HD movie file (5GB) in just over two minutes, compared to around 30 minutes on the average local connection;
•     Download a 25GB console game in just over 10 minutes, compared to around two and a half hours on the average local connection**
